How long do your products last?
When stored correctly:
Dried mushrooms: 6–12 months
Chocolate products: 3–6 months (best flavour within 3 months)
Powders / blends: 6–12 months
Heat, moisture and light gradually reduce freshness and potency — cool, dry, and dark storage makes all the difference.
How should I store my products?
Keep them cool, dry and out of direct light.
Dried products
Store in an airtight container. Avoid moisture. A silica sachet helps extend freshness.
Chocolate
Keep below 22°C where possible.
Avoid refrigeration unless fully sealed — condensation can affect texture and quality.
Stored well, your products will stay potent and beautiful for months.
Do your products meet dietary requirements?
Most Shroomates products are vegan and gluten-free.
Vegan:
Dark chocolate, hot chocolate, teas and microdose capsules.
Contains dairy:
White chocolate (vegetarian, not vegan).
All products are free from artificial preservatives.

How does delivery and collection work?
Shroomates is based in Mowbray, Cape Town.
Collection (Free)
You’re welcome to collect your order once it’s ready.
You’ll receive a “Ready for Collection” email with the exact address and collection details.
Cape Town Metro (Uber Courier)
We offer same-day or next-day delivery within 15km of the Cape Town Metro.
Flat rate: R109
If you’re slightly outside this radius, get in touch - we’ll happily adjust the courier fee where possible.
Nationwide – PostNet Branch Collection
For customers outside the Cape Town Metro area, we ship via PostNet to PostNet.
Delivery time: 2–3 business days
Your parcel will be sent to your nearest PostNet branch for collection. You’ll receive tracking details once dispatched.
Do you offer different varieties of mushroom?
Yes. We cultivate a small selection of carefully chosen varieties, grown in-house.
Each has its own character and expression. Availability may vary - please refer to individual product listings for current options.
